Border Rivers Christian College.
The Australian National Curriculum Taught from a Christian Perspective
A New, Innovative School is Shaping our Children’s Future in the Border Region
Border Rivers Christian College is a new, non-denominational, Christian day school in the beautiful border town of Goondiwindi, Queensland. Established in 2015, the school offers families a true Christian education, in a safe learning environment. “Border Rivers” aims to give every student the chance to achieve their goals, and develop their God-given gifts and talents.
Under the enthusiastic and experienced leadership of Principal Rebecca Montgomery, Border Rivers offers a highly skilled team of educators. Originally from Victoria, Mrs Montgomery brings years of leadership experience to the college. Border Rivers’ teachers also bring a wide range of expertise, having taught in a range of settings, across various States of Australia, and overseas.
The education offered at Border Rivers is founded upon a strong curriculum base, and is provided within a safe, nurturing environment. Students are given learning experiences through camps, excursions, sporting events, and academic, artistic, and musical activities. As part of their learning journey, our students are also given the opportunity to serve in the community, and our senior students are encouraged to join the College’s bi-annual mission trips, in order to develop their understanding of Christianity and its application.
Although new, Border Rivers has already developed into a close community of teachers, staff, students and families who support and encourage each other to do their best. Our teachers comment on the joy they find in encouraging enthusiasm in their students in relation to all aspects of learning!
With the expansion of the new 13 acre site in 2017, there is even more reason to become a part of the Border Rivers family (see photo new building design). We encourage those families looking for a solid, Christian education for their children to enquire further into Border Rivers Christian College.
